Guidance Counselor

Dear Parents,

Welcome back! We want to remind you that seventh grade is just beginning and before you know it, eighth grade will be just around the corner and with it comes the high school admission process.

It is important for parents and students to be aware that High School Admission Directors base their selection decisions on the following criteria:

Final 7th Grade Report Card: Many schools require grades from the 1st quarter of 8th grade as well. Standardized Test Scores: 7th grade ELA and Math scores Attendance and Punctuality: It is essential that students do not exceed a total of 10 absences and lateness combined for the entire school year.

Should you be interested in having your child attend a Specialized High School, please find enclosed the various high school test prep courses offered.

If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at 212-614-8785 ext. 4110 when school begins.

Sincerely,

Leslie Berck
